Five Controls,
Applied Lot By Lot.

Testing, conditioning, treatment, labeling and records work together before seed is released.

  1. 01

    Genetic And Trait Integrity

    The product name, trait package and finished lot stay connected through conditioning and labeling. If repackaging or overtreatment creates a new lot, the required warm, cold and trait tests are completed again.
  2. 02

    Conditioning And Sizing

    Seed is conditioned and sized for consistent handling and planter performance. Finished samples, seed size and bagging records remain tied to the finished lot.
  3. 03

    Germination And Vigor

    Every finished lot is tested. SoDak Labs, Inc. in Brookings, South Dakota performs germination and trait testing for AXIS new-crop, wholesale and carryover seed. Every AXIS corn lot receives a 50°F Saturated Cold test every year. Results below 93% warm germination or 85% cold germination are automatically retested, and seed that fails quality is not sold.

    Treatment Accuracy

    Treatment and colorant requirements are assigned by product, applied at the specified rate and recorded in the lot designation and required labeling.

    Documentation And Traceability

    Quality results, lot numbers and seed sizes remain connected to the finished lot. When a package or treatment change creates a new lot, the new lot and its required tests are recorded.
